YWAM ToRCH is called to demonstrate and provide a caring environment for people that are suffering; To be a channel of love to the poor, sick, needy... giving special attention to the challenge of HIV/AIDS and the needs of children.

Since 1993, we have reached out to communities, with Education about HIV and other infectious diseases; community development and evangelism.



Our name - ToRCH means Together Restoring Community Hope.




Our work has developed and expanded and can now be summarised under the following headings -

  • Health ..... and HIV
  • Church...... evangelism, discipleship and community development.
  • Children......... oprhans, vulnerable children and youth.


Our offices are in Jinja, central Uganda, and we work mostly in villages in the neighbouring districts. However, in this season, we are beginning to pioneer more work in Jinja itself. Read more here.
