Adam's mum was abandoned by her husband who disappeared. She was later diagnosed with cancer.

She ended up hospitalised and the hospital soon became home to her and baby Adam. Through a friend of a friend, she heard about the Foster Family Network. Desperate for help, she asked one of the families to take care of her child until she could be discharged. Sadly, she passed away just two weeks later, leaving Adam alone and vulnerable.

 

This story is typical of what led to the growth of the Foster Family Network. The vision of the Network is to receive disadvantaged, vulnerable, and orphaned children into families and enable them to become responsible and productive members of society.
